Live Streaming Author
Recently I've discovered a smartphone app called Periscope, where you can live stream video from your phone to a private audience or to anyone in the world.
Those watching the video can post chat, and the person streaming the video can respond to them via audio. I've had some fun with it already and have always had an audience, no matter how mundane the video is. It's a fairly recent app, so there's tons of people on it looking for just about anything to watch. I'm planning on using Periscope to do Q&As and book readings. I'm not the only author that's on Periscope either. I happened upon a video of a famous marketing author streaming himself typing on the laptop and rocking to some hip-hop music.
